Oasis Wembley Night 3 Review

A night worth a 15-year wait

By Alex

Walking out of Wembley Park Tube Station onto the buzzing Olympic Way, it hit me — this was going to be massive. Ninety thousand fans. One stadium. One night with one of the most iconic bands of our time.

The atmosphere outside Wembley was electric. You could feel the anticipation in the air. After 15 long years, Oasis were back — and you just knew it was going to be special.

Even before the show started, the scale of it all was clear. The merch queues were already intense, with the adidas jerseys selling out before midday. If you're heading to one of the September shows, get there early if you want anything from the stands.

Once the gates opened at 5 PM, people streamed in — drinks in hand, snacks stacked, all racing to their seats. But before Liam and Noel took to the stage, the crowd was treated to two support acts: Cast and Richard Ashcroft.

Cast & Ashcroft: The Warm-Up

Cast kicked things off just before 6 PM. Their set was short and sweet — around half an hour — featuring hits like Live the Dream and ending on Alright. John Power was in great spirits, thanking the crowd and the Gallaghers multiple times. It was a feel-good, nostalgic opening that got everyone in the right mood.

Then came Richard Ashcroft, rocking his classic leather jacket and shades. He brought serious energy and looked right at home on the Wembley stage. Starting with Lover and working through songs like A Song for the Lovers and Break the Night with Colour, Ashcroft sounded incredible. His band was tight, and the whole set just built perfectly. He finished with Bittersweet Symphony, and the whole place was up singing. It was a big moment — the perfect setup for what was to come.

As he walked off stage, he dropped the line:

“The greatest f*cking rock’n’roll band will be on in 30/40 minutes.”

Wembley went mad.

The Main Event: Oasis Are Back

By 8:15 PM, the lights dropped. A short video played on the big screen, and then — there they were. Liam and Noel, walking on stage together, hand in hand. Hugging. Yep, this was real.

They kicked off with Fckin’ in the Bushes* and didn’t waste a second diving straight into Hello. The crowd was buzzing. From there, it was one anthem after another — Morning Glory, Some Might Say, all delivered with proper swagger.

Liam then stepped off for a bit while Noel took the spotlight with a more stripped-back moment. He played Talk Tonight, Half the World Away, and Little by Little — a nice change of pace that gave everyone a breather. The vocals were bang on, and you could tell both brothers were in top form.

And then came the final stretch.

They powered through Live Forever, tore into Rock ’n’ Roll Star, and closed the night with the holy trinity:

  • Don’t Look Back in Anger
  • Wonderwall
  • Champagne Supernova

Honestly, if any three songs were worth a 15-year wait, it was those.

The whole stadium was on its feet. Singing. Shouting. Arms in the air. Proper goosebumps moment.

Final Thoughts

The energy was unreal. The crowd? Loud and loving it. And the music — just timeless. This wasn’t just a gig. It felt like a moment in history.

Overall rating: 4.5 / 5

Only thing that held it back slightly was stage presence. Noel didn’t really speak much, and while Liam sounded great, he could’ve been a bit more fired up. But honestly? That’s nitpicking.

Wembley felt alive. And Oasis reminded everyone why they were — and still are — one of the greatest bands to ever do it.
