Desmond Dekker, the reggae legend known for hits like "Israelites" and "007 (Shanty Town)", started his career in the 1960s. His first album, "007 (Shanty Town)" was released in 1967, and his last, "Compass Point", in 1981. Dekker won the Best Reggae Artist award in 1981.
